Unmasking the Domestic Abuser in the Church

There Really is a New World Coming – and that is where your real life is

Rev 21:1-5  Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more.  (2)  And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.  (3)  And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God.  (4)  He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”  (5)  And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”

Today is the beginning of the new year, 2020. 2019 has forever passed into history. And one day, perhaps very soon, the story of this fallen world will pass into history forever. There will be a new heavens and a new earth, a new creation in which no evil person or thing will ever be experienced again.
The promise is true, made by the Lord who cannot lie. Behold, I am making all things new:

Rev 21:27  But nothing unclean will ever enter it, nor anyone who does what is detestable or false, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

I am very, very sorry for the evil most all of you have endured, and which in many cases you continue to endure. I know so many of you who love Christ and who grew up in this world hoping for a real loving marriage, a home that was a real family and where the love of Christ reigned. But it didn’t play out that way. You were little children perhaps outside playing in a puddle with your new boots and along came a person who promised to love that little kid when she grew up – forever. He lied. He took decades of years from the one life you had been given.
This will not go on forever. If you know Christ, if you belong to Him and you have been born again by faith alone in Christ alone, your real life is still to come. In fact, it has already begun. It is up there where Christ is, not here in this present temporal world. And that new life is real.
God created this present world and made it real. Animals, trees, mountains, and men and women with real physical bodies who were made to enjoy the creation and the Creator. It was called Eden. We know what happened. Sin. The fall. Death. The lights went out when we were separated from Him who is the Light of the World.
But that Light came back and shone in the darkness and rescued us. When He went back to the Father He said:

Joh 14:1-3  “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me.  (2)  In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?  (3)  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.

And that is exactly how it is going down. That place He went to prepare is the new heavens and the new earth – the new Eden. He created the present cosmos in six days. What do you think this new Eden is going to be like if He has been creating it for over 2000 years? No words….
Christian, your suffering is not going to last. There is an end to it. Your real life has not been wasted by an evil deceiver.

Joh 1:5  The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
Rev 22:20-21  He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!  (21)  The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all. Amen.

We Must Use the Discernment the Lord Has Given Us

    Amen. Come soon Lord Jesus.

Hallelujah!!! The promises of the Lord give me strength and keep me going strong only in Him, for when I am weak He is strong. I am beyond thrilled to know someday real soon that I will exist with like minded believers and be permanently away from those who are detestable and false. To know that I will never have to be around those who enjoy devising evil plots in their darkened hearts makes me want to dance for joy!! I want to wish everyone here the blessings of the Lord and the safety of His arms around us in this coming new year.

  3. Stormy

I want to wish everyone on this blog a feeling of comfort and support this year and for the rest of our earthly lives.
One of the awful feelings of being surrounded by false Christians, users and abusers is the feeling of isolation and being alone.
I pray we all will be relieved of this pain. That God himself will remove us from reminders of the evil people and replace that with true Christians/supportive people who truly love us.
Please God bring us support, encouragement and relief. Take away the pain of rejection and the evil people that have caused it. Heal our spirits, emotions and hearts.
Help us Heavenly Father all to feel your presence everyday. Give us all tailor made encouragement from heaven. Exactly what each of us need to feel your support.
Help us to prosper more than the wicked prosper in both temporal blessings, which we need to survive in this world, and peace, happiness and joy.
Let your supernatural provision for us (the remnant) be a thorn in the side of the wicked. When the wicked see your supernatural provision for us let them all jansh their teeth in disgust as a reminder that you are taking notes and they will have to answer for their wickedness.
We need you so bad —help us to remember your promises even in the midst of this fallen world. God bless us all. Thank you Pastor Crippen, we all love and appreciate your ministry more than words can say.

Stormy – Thank you for this amazing prayer. You expressed exactly the things I (we) needed to hear and identified with the feelings of being rejected, even decades later. I just finished Revelation on 12/31/19 (yesterday) and indeed, the new heaven and new earth, free of this pain and sorrow is just on the horizon! I think of it more every day. Come quickly Lord Jesus, Come!

I thank you deeply for expressing your sorrow and sympathy for the agonies we have experienced and continue to endure, Pastor Crippen. It means so much to me. Your reminders of God’s promises to us are likewise precious. I am very grateful for you. May the Lord bless you for all the good work that you do, caring for us His sheep!

I LOVE this post! The reinforcement of the knowledge that this world is NOT my home, that I do have an eternal home that is my REAL HOME, with Jesus one day taking me to Himself into glory-the New Eden. This is the only thing that has kept me from utter despair at times.
I can’t wait for that glorious day! I hope to recognize all of you, my brothers and sisters in Christ, and to forever fellowship with you in the Presence of our King! No more tears, pain, suffering, abuse…NO EVIL ALLOWED IN!
I can’t even imagine the beauty, the neverending joy and the abundance of blessings and rewards awaiting those of us who have ENDURED in this fallen world filled with not only evil but so many counterfeit Christians. Those of us who have TRULY accepted Jesus as our Savior by faith and demonstrated fruits of our repentance will reap our harvest. Yes, only the remnant.
A most blessed, safe and, if possible, happy New Year to all my sisters and brothers on this blog. If happiness isn’t possible yet, the JOY OF THE LORD IS OUR STRENGTH! The joy of knowing our suffering WILL END. That is something no abuser can take away from us. There will come a day when their suffering will begin and never end.
Knowing our joy will be a permanent joy in our REAL HOME WITH THE LORD can help us get through the temporal evils of this world. That, and also knowing that we can discern the end for all those who visited evil upon us-abusers and all their allies-and those who falsely used the name of Christ to hide their evil hearts. No hiding their evil on that day. We will get vindication and victory!

What a soothing message! Many thanks Jeff, Unholy charade team and followers for the continued support throughout 2019 reading each and every post.
This was the very topic of my meditation on the last day of the year as I was visiting an amazingly beautiful garden. After being betrayed by so many people and losing everything, dreams, health and business shattered, a tsunami in my life, I’m in awe before God that I’m still alive and now well thanks to His merciful and healing hand.
I’ve had to learn to trust no one and lean on my God only, His justice and His promise of the final judgement and the new heaven. Praise be to God, He’s my joy and hope every day, my only safe refuge.
    (ESV) Micah 7:5 Put no trust in a neighbor; have no confidence in a friend; guard the doors of your mouth from her who lies in your arms;
6 for the son treats the father with contempt, the daughter rises up against her mother, the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; a man’s enemies are the men of his own house.
7 But as for me, I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me.
8 Rejoice not over me, O my enemy; when I fall, I shall rise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord will be a light to me.
9 I will bear the indignation of the Lord because I have sinned against him, until he pleads my cause and executes judgment for me. He will bring me out to the light; I shall look upon his vindication.
10 Then my enemy will see, and shame will cover her who said to me,“Where is the Lord your God?” My eyes will look upon her; now she will be trampled down like the mire of the streets.

Thank you for posting Micah 7:5 it’s perfect

      • Innoscent

You’re welcome Sara smiles. This powerful reminder helps me to keep going.
Interestingly, Jesus quoted part of that text in Mt 10 and Mk 13 in an end-times context where we are now.

Beautiful, comforting, validating. Your ministry is so VITAL to so many. Thank you x a million, Jeff!

  8. Blessings and joy in your words. Thank you for caring. Thank you for hearing the cries of the wounded and forsaken. May your ministry continue to draw light to the truth.

  9. I have little doubt that there are persons who regularly leave comments on this website, Unholy Charade, who, in respect of the duration of enduring abuse in its many forms, the magnitude of the offences committed against them, the cumulative effect of the horrors of wickedness to which they have been subjected, and the privation of any semblance of temporal justice, have suffered far more horrendous evils than I have, or likely ever will. (This I write without intending to diminish the various afflictions I personally have undergone.)
Evil is an ongoing reality that l would very much like to forget. Yet I would be playing into the Evil One’s hands were I not to acknowledge that its presence covers the entirety of the face of the earth in the present age.
The ultimate righting of wrongs, from the apostasy of (the one we now know as) the Devil and (those who came to be) his angels to the Fall and the rebellion of human beings carried on throughout the millennia, will not precede the parousia: the second appearance of the Lord Jesus Christ in the glory of his Father with his angels.
My thanks to all those at Unholy Charade: Mr Crippen, moderator(s), and commenters.

  10. Angie

Thank you for your courage and encouragement through your ministry.

  11. What an outstanding article! THANK YOU, Pastor Crippen, for your understanding and compassion for those who have undergone such unspeakable abuse by wicked people pretending to be Christians. You are truly a gift to broken hearts in Christ’s true church. May God continue to bless you and your family for your amazing ministry!
