‘I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.’
(Isa 14:14)
Very typically a RASN (reviler, abuser, sociopath, narcissist) is quite popular within his or her social circles. These might be at church, at work, with extended family or other social arenas. The RASN is held in high esteem for their charm, their helpfulness, their expertise in and skill or their academic prowess.
As a result, anyone who questions the RASN’s fame or ability is immediately written off as someone motivated by jealousy or ignorance or other ill motive. After all, everyone knows that the RASN is just the greatest. Any slight flaw seen in them is blamed upon someone else for “pushing the RASN’s buttons.”
However, the real source of the RASN’s popularity and famous reputation does not lie in true skill or genuine charm of persona. No. The actual origin of all of this wonderment of name and fame flows from the boastings and pride of the RASN himself. That is to say, the RASN is his own public relations department. He is “the greatest” person at his workplace. He is the best Christian. He is the pinnacle of fatherhood. Says who? Says the RASN himself.
And we very typically and unknowingly are caught up in this self-propaganda campaign of the RASN. We believe him or her. We buy into the belief that everyone at the RASN’s place of employment are incompetent fools and that if it weren’t for the RASN the business would fold. We are swept up into thinking that the RASN is the finest and most knowledgeable Christian in his church – because he tells us it is so.
But what is the reality? It is this – RASNs are fools. RASNs are the divisive source of trouble in whatever circle they operate in. It is not the wife or children of the RASN who stir up the trouble and frustration, it is the RASN. “I bring in 90% of the business where I work.” “If it weren’t for my hard work and wise counsel, the pastor of my church wouldn’t be able to make it.” “If my wife just realized how fortunate she is to have me as her husband….”. But these are all lies, and where do they find their source?
In the wicked one himself. The RASN is a fountain of lies. That is the real source of his or her popularity, which in reality is just a scam.

Thank you Deb! You are a real encouragement to me as well.

RASNs ingratiate themselves with those in positions of power. They seek to attain positions of power to deceive others with their perceived greatness, gaining their daily fix of adoration. They excel at marketing their greatness, regardless of whether there’s any truth to it. It is all about self-glory for the RASNs. RASNs gladly trade their soul for power, control, fame, and money. When they do so, they embody the demonic spirits they’ve aligned with to achieve their dreams. We’re witnessing this on the Right and Left sides of the aisle with those who’ve built up large audiences now unleashing their different brands of crazy, but that are rooted in the same father – Satan.
Everything is wonderful as long as the RASN receives the adoration they believe they deserve. It becomes a nightmare if you withhold the admiration, disagree with them, and stop blindly complying with their every whim.
Look at the fruit of a person’s life, not just their words. It will tell a compelling story. If their words don’t align with their actions or directly contradict them, there is a strong probability that you’re dealing with a RASN. Watch how they handle conflict and respond to pushback against their ideas and beliefs.
We need God’s wisdom to discern the time and season in which we find ourselves, both as individuals and as a nation. We are being governed and employed by mostly RASNs. This is the outcome of the church in America failing to fulfill the great commission over the last century. 100 years ago, 95% of Americans professed to be Christians. Now 65% profess Christ, but only 6% believe in biblical Christianity. All the others are nominal at best, and heretics at worse. We know this is true because we can see the aftereffects of what secularism and godlessness have done to the nation. By inviting divine judgment through legalizing abortion, we have watched our society deteriorate into violent lawlessness and corruption. Our civic and business leaders sold the American Dream out from under the feet of its citizens when it opened its doors to non-Christian immigration as a replacement for all the dead children it convinced its women to abort. Lawlessness runs amok in our cities and states. We see how poorly the church handles the abuses by its clergy, and they punish the innocent who expose those evil works of darkness. God’s name has been profaned for a century, and that fruit has come to bear. It is a bitter poison pill to swallow.
We need the church to repent of her sins to God, lest we be entirely overrun by the pagans and Muslims who have been imported to replace us. They will overturn the Constitution and install communism + Sharia law in its place. Just look at Minneapolis, MN, and Dearborn, MI. That is the fate for the rest of the nation if we do not wake up, repent of our sins, and return to the God whose laws and morality our nation was founded on.
2 Chronicles 7:14 – “Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and heal their land.”
I pray that God grants us mercy and that national revival takes place, that we are given a 3rd great awakening. I know that if God does it, we must be vigilant to watch for Satan’s counter-awakening.
I pray that Trump will come to saving faith in Christ. I pray that a genuine Christian in his inner circle will share the gospel with him, and the Holy Spirit will grant him the humility needed to repent of his sin and become a child of God. I pray that God will use him to lead us in national repentance, as Josiah did with Israel in the Old Testament. Without national repentance, all this other work that the Trump administration is doing will be overturned in an instant if God allows the Democrats the chance to finish the work they started.
Isaiah 40:31 – “But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.”
